The import preview is where you catch a mismatch, before anything is saved. Read it top to bottom.

Exercises

Under Exercise Resolution, each name falls into one of three groups.

  • Matched names show the catalog exercise they landed on. Check the pairs that look different, such as a name matched to a close variation.
  • Will Create names found no match, so Grain Gym will add them as custom exercises. If you meant a catalog exercise, change the name in your JSON to the catalog's name and import again.
  • Unresolved names couldn't be placed, and each one shows a reason.

Grain Gym matches by exact name, known aliases and close spelling across its 448 exercises.

Rules and schedule

Check the Week Schedule, Progression and Workouts sections against your source. A program that looks right on paper but wrong here usually has a wrong rule or day in the file. Fix it in the JSON and import again.

When the import fails

The Import Failed screen lists what needs attention. If a repair is available, it shows which exercises, days and sets it affects. Today the repair is excluding timed sets from a progression rule that can't apply to them. Tick it and choose Review Selected Repairs.

Show details expands the technical notes, and Copy diagnostics puts them on your clipboard so you can send them to support. You can also try again or choose another file.

Check the first session

After a clean import, open the first workout and compare its targets with your source before you log anything.
